About CalPaisa
CalPaisa is a financial calculator and financial education website designed to help you perform common financial calculations quickly — and understand the concepts behind them.
What CalPaisa is
CalPaisa brings together simple, fast calculators and plain-language explanations of the maths behind them. Every calculator is free to use, works instantly in your browser, and shows its formula, a worked example and answers to common questions on the same page.
The tools on CalPaisa include:
- Loan calculators — EMI, interest cost and repayment schedules
- Investment calculators — SIP and compound growth projections
- Tax calculators — income tax estimates and GST calculations
- Banking calculators — fixed deposits and recurring deposits
- Interest calculators — compound interest with different compounding frequencies
- Other personal-finance calculation tools, added over time
Our purpose
CalPaisa aims to make financial calculations easier to understand by combining simple calculators with clear explanations, formulas, examples, and educational information.
We deliberately avoid marketing claims. CalPaisa does not rank products, does not sell financial products, and does not promise outcomes — it helps you do the arithmetic and understand what the numbers mean.
How CalPaisa calculators work
Each calculator applies a standard mathematical formula to the values and assumptions you enter. Results update as you type, and the formula used is printed on every calculator page so you can check the method yourself.
- Inputs come entirely from you — amounts, rates, tenure, frequency and options.
- Calculations are performed in your browser; nothing you type is required to leave your device.
- Where a calculation needs an assumption (for example a compounding frequency or a tax regime), that assumption is shown as a visible option you can change.
- Results are rounded for display while the underlying calculation keeps full precision.
Accuracy & updates
Calculations are designed to be accurate according to the methodology shown on each calculator page. However, interest rates, tax rules, regulations, government schemes and product terms change over time, and lenders or institutions may apply their own charges and methods.
Please verify important financial information with official sources, your bank or a qualified professional before acting on it. If you spot a result that looks wrong, we would genuinely like to know — see reporting a calculation error.
